Details of the full build are as follows:
Headset: Chris King 2-Nut
BB: RPM/Sugino 7420
Wheels: Araya VX-300 on DaBomb rear bolt-on (19T Velosolo Disc-cog) Ambrosio track front
Rear tyre is a Conti Duraskin (25mm) and front is a 28mm Specialized Nimbus.
Chainset is a 170mm Shimano 105 with 52T Stronglight Carbon 3/32 Chainring (Left crank is a Dotek 170mm in a similar pattern to the RH arm)The bike is shown with LOOK Delta A3.1 pedals, but these aren't included in the sale - If you need pedals to get you home I'm sure I can come up with something!

Bars are wrapped in planet x tape.Chain is of course a silver KMC Z510HX - the king of chains.

Here are a few more photos of the frame showing it's fine construction and the splendid patina that's made this something of a forum classic....

In the above photo you'll see a couple of washers on the right side of the seatpost clamp this is because the bolt's been squeezed into the lug a little.
There's also a small dent on the TT - I'll get a photo of it in the daylight tomorrow and post that. -

Here's a close-up of the seatpost....
Here's the obligatory weight-wiener shot
331g's of pure joy

It's a thing of beautify
-
• #8
^ Cheers - I think it deserves a good home and more frequent use than I'm giving it!

The perfect rat, GLWS dude!
-
• #10
Ah, this beauty again...
-
• #11
Man alive! GLWS (attractive price too).

Cheers Gents - it's never easy to price up a bike, especially one so unique - I hoped I wasn't being unrealistic.
General note on the size - The non-square geo makes it a kind of vintage compact!
I'm 186cm (6'1") and it fits me fine (with plenty of seatpost showing).
The 56cm TT and 120mm stem is comfortable enough for my orang-utang arms, but a shorter stem and less seatpost would make the bike suitable for someone quite a bit smaller -
• #13
not too sure about the 53-56 geo, dibs pending questions in PM
-
• #14
In fact I think it would fit me very well and I'm 178cm
-
• #15
i dont really dig red bikes but this is somewhat appealing ..well tick !
-
• #16
ehhh I can't afford the whole build but if you were to split it I'd take the frame + forks + headset
-
• #17
love that frame! how had the clear coat held up Rik? still considering it for mine...
-
• #18
Clearcoat seems to be holding out well. If you leave it out in the rain overnight you'll get little orangey rust spots but they wipe straight off. Pretty happy with it really and would certainly do it again.

Thanks: I'm hoping not to split but if I give up on selling as a whole build I'll give you a shout!
-
• #20
I want this alot, But really need to sell some stuff first. GLWS
-
• #21
In case you split, how much would you like for the frameset alone and frameset + headset/bb combo?
-
• #22
Cheers, the frame is an absolute beauty!
-
• #23
I assume this is no longer an option - love the look of that Dave Lloyd LoPro - Look forward to seeing it progress!
-
• #24
Split looking a bit unlikely at the moment as there are a few people interested in the full build - If I do split I was thinking £280 for F+F & Headset

@Rik_Van_Looy the best sales threads in the business
edit: Also - rat bike with carbon chain ring, trendsetting.
Yes Fam - Bob Jackson Tarckbiek for sells.
Seattube: 21" (53cm)
Toptube: 22" (56cm)
531 Frame & Forks with Prugnat Lugs, Campagnolo Ends and dat Fork Crown
I bought the frame on here about 4 years ago, sold as a Claud Butler
I knew it wasn't a Claud so I did my homework and Bob Jackson confirmed that he'd built it in the early 60's. The fork is not original as it has a slightly different frame# stamped on the steerer - but it's also made by Bob Jackson around the same time.
Since then I've fitted a Chris King 2-Nut Headset (so so hot right now), treated the rust, had the frame and forks realigned, and the BB threads chased so it's all pretty clean & tidy.
I used this every day for commuting and general riding for 2 1/2 years before I bought my Duratec
Since then it's been used for long rides at the weekend.
Sadly I'm not getting many weekend rides in and need to raise funds for a new workshop so it's up for sale at £400 for the complete build
