Unfortunately bank holidays mean I have to work more :( so I am only around Saturday. Elliot and myself are going to head down today to start fixing the corner. If I buy more wood screws is there a chance I can get reimbursed?

Elliot is back? Well nice!
Yeah, keep the receipt and the LHBPA will refund you.

Yep we did but I think we need more since we will be reinforcing the boards with 2x4s.

Keen to hear your thoughts on rebuild. We need to clear tings with the FHHV Trust but as little impact as possible, and probably some options, would be good.
I've thought out net supports driven into the grass (short pole driven in, then long pole coming out of that), the supports being set in concrete ballast at the bottom (like when they do roadworks with trafficlights in oildrums) etc... But I'm no engineer!
Also we need coherent, seperate options to give them. Each with an estimated budget and impact on the land/court (ie: How easy will it be to get rid of if needed)

I'm really up for fundraising the shit out of this and building something very permanent (by the way of boards at least) the OSB is getting on my tits.

just a quick thought, how hard would it be to make the nets removable? so you could put them down after every session, Maybe this would help with wind and would at least stop the net supports snapping....

Not difficult at all but I think too much of a faff. We have a hard enough time convincing some lazy-so-and-so's to put boards away!
Also, the nets would have to be stored in a way that when wet wouldnt make a nice place for mould to grow. Cus this would eventually eat the nets and make the tarmac worse (mould is already pitting the court in some places, we have to jetwash it like HHV do the track so the trees don't destroy it like newt).
@cafafox there should be screws thee. If not I can find you some from my house/storage. Whilst Beagle is technically correct, we have no way of accessing the LHBPA funds at the moment and I'm not sure there's all that much in there, wouldn't want to waste it on screws I already have doing nothing here :)

B never dropped any tools off with me, but I have got a drill with 2 batteries and a hammer from the pub. I also have access to a ladder for the net. I can only do Saturday before 5.
I honestly think that it will not take long to fix it just a case of getting the numbers to lift, 45 minutes at the most. so we will be able to play most of the day if that is an incentive to get people down.
The corner took elliot and myself 15 minutes to fix.

It should be open as there's something happening on the track today. That said, best to pick up the key from the Regent in case we need to lock up.
