• I'd rather not sell this, but with an impending marriage this summer, I've been forced to re-allocate some funds.

So, I won't give you the hard sell - this is a Cannondale CAAD10 frame, which as you probably already know, is a very lightweight and highly rated aluminium frame. Comes with forks and FSA headset.

It's the 63cm version, so perfect for anyone around 6'3" and over.

Weight is 1.87kg for the frame set, so this is perfect for building a weight weenie on a budget.

There are a couple of marks on the frame, including the usual cable rub, which I have tried to highlight in the pictures, though overall it's in very good condition.

New, these frames seem to go for around £800. I would like £395 inc postage in the UK.

  • glws

  • Someone needs to buy this, build it up, then put it next to @Acliff's 48cm CAAD10.

  • We need to see the difference in the owners' heights too.

  • The top tube is basically where my spine is....

  • Link to the frame geo, fwiw:

  • If this is still here in 3 weeks (extremely doubtful) ima have it! Worst of luck with the sale

  • Well, you never know. I'm in no rush, and I guess there aren't that many big frame buyers out there (though the frames are more sought after, conversely!).

  • Alternatively, pop a small deposit on it and it's yours :-)

  • Interested in this, but not sure at 6'3" whether it's a bit too large for me? Where are you based @TruffleShuffle?

  • If it helps, I'm just under 6'4", with a 36.5 cm inside leg, fairly long arms, but a relatively short torso. What do you currently ride?

I'm in Bristol, can easily post though.

  • I'm on a 2010 Scott CR1 COMP 56cm/Large, which is lovely and light, but a bit small and stretched out to the max on the seatpost to make it work. My inside leg is about 36.5 though, so that could work.

  • What year is this frame btw?

  • I went from a 60cm Genesis, to a 63cm CAAD4 (similar geo to this) and it feels much more comfortable - slightly longer top tube, but that's easily solved with a shorter stem. The real treat is you get lots of seat tube, so I need much less seat post. Sounds like a similar deal for you.

I think it's a 2012 frame. I'll check later this evening to make sure.

  • Sorry, still haven't had a chance to look - will definitely do it this evening and I'll properly weigh it too.

  • Thanks @TruffleShuffle, appreciated!

  • Just checked - I cannot find a date on it, but having Googled all the years prior to 2010, this colour way only comes up on the 2012 search, so I'm almost convinced it's this year.

As for the weight, the frame is around 1470g, while the fork is 400g; not quite as light as I mentioned earlier, but still plenty good for alu.

  • Forgot to mention this comes with seatpost clamp.

  • Hmm, let me think dude, it's a little heavier than I'd like.

  • No worries, pretty good as far as aluminium goes though, and I'm sure you've read the reviews on how good a frame it is!

  • Provisionally sold.

  • SOLD, to a very pleasant and similarly-lofty chap - thanks Andrew!
