If you don't then remember it could have been worse.
A mate borrowed a Cervelo P4, with zipp cranks (or something hideously expensive) and 404s (no pressure!) and promptly fell off when the pedals he'd fitted unfitted themselves.

Shave off your eyebrows and definitely remove eyelashes
Eat only things with a Z in them -

How can you fail installing pedals? Oh, Cervelo, you say..

I've contemplated taping my eyes open. Constant surprised look, to make lowering my head and still being able to see, easier.

Removing eyelashes and eyebrows first would simply be good sense before the eyes taped open step.
also CAKEZ, BEERZ, ZAUZAGES.

A course of EPO is out of the question then.

It's quite draggy from the turn to the Henley junction, basically the whole of mile 6. I reckon with a headwind too, that's the place to burn your matches.

Well, that could have gone better...
c. 32 odd minutes. Got stuck behind an hgv for about a quarter of the course that slowed to an almost complete stop for corners. Then punctured 2km from the line and crawled back.
Encouraging that I was averaging around 270-275w with 5km to go and felt pretty comfortable ramping up to almost 300w before the puncture.
I suppose things can only go better from here.

hippy would need more EPO than could kill an elephant, and the cost would never be covered by the primes he'd win.

Bike is clean (for my standards). Aerobars are straight again and torqued to the required amount. I just hope they stay there this time. Tempted to extend them and slam the stem to get stupid low (relatively) just because. Not going to bother with bigger chainring since I'm likely too slow to push it properly anyway. I'm sure I've forgotten something.. oh I polished my helmet too which I'm sure you'll be pleased to know.

That's taking marginal gains to the limit.

A slower than 22 event...
Well, he couldn't get a ride on the V on the basis of 'Fastest LTS' at the moment, because he has no qualifying time :-)

Nothing beats a clean helmet.. except a clean helmet with the holes taped up.

I know I asked about this wheel previously, but does £500 seem like a reasonable price?
So far as I know, it was bought new a couple of years ago and has had relatively little use (a few TTs and one IM), probably under 500miles. It picked up that ding in transit back from an Ironman, and although the consensus is that the it's probably non-structural and can be covered by some judicious use of tape, it is putting me off a little bit. It's being offered for £500, and I know the seller so would like a fair price but I'm not sure what's reasonable given the hole.
First ever TT for me this Friday. I hope the wind dies down.
Next to no specific training, apart from weekly 4-5hr rides through the winter.
I'll be fixed, on a completely non-aero Precursa frame which is at least a size too large for me, sporting clothing with no aero benefit and using a gear-ratio that I'm sure will be totally wrong on the day.
I'd like to get under 27mins if possible...
