It's all very personal. For example, I love the small campag 10speed style hoods of those Cane Creeks that you find uncomfortable.
The SRAM 500 and 900 brake levers get a good rep 'on here' for the shape. Not cheap though.

Got both of those and they are lovely.
They're just gutted Doubletaps, so keep an eye out for broken ones and DIY.

I just fitted some TRP brake levers which I found to be very comfortable.

The SRAM levers look pretty good, I had a set of the Double Tap lever on my old CX bike and they were pretty comfortable so I'll keep an eye out for a set.
I'm looking for a set of drop bar brake levers to go on a Langster but need something that's a bit more comfortable on the hoods than my current Cane Creek SCR-5's.
What's good in the way of levers that doesn't cost a fortune?
