i want to go to thruxton, but the noise limit is 90db, which all but the standard modern cars will fail. the alf/tr and the mgb will be over that.
-
• #22829
Yeah that's fine. You only need one if you go off and not many people go off.

LFGSS track day? I'm in. Choice of car will depend on the noise limit. I suppose it'd be one way to finally kill off what's left of the Piglet's rear tyres.

Cool. I'll join in when the Zonda arrives.

Mega.

That's gotta suck. Paying up for a skyline just to get over taken by a volvo estate

Do they hire lids, or is that the sort of thing you need to get yourself?
I imagine hire ones are horrific, but don't know how spendy a cheap helmet would be.

• #22847
It's alright, the 'seat' is just an expanding foam seat made to fit me - you can pull it out in no time at all which leaves plenty of space. You'd need to get used to a mechanical sequential paddle shift though...

Some of the people I used to race against used V2 helmets which are pretty reasonably-priced. If you're in a tintop then you can get away with an open face one at £129. Or, if you have a large head, I have a Sparco ProJet open face helmet which can be made available for borrowz. It's a 60/large size though, so you would need to be cranially well-endowed.

gotta start somewhere...
more importantly, how will you get on with the stump-pulling 95 brake ponies the mgb will be putting out?
I've got the Volvo screw-in towing eye for the front - that will do I assume?
Doesn't need to be FIA approved or anything?
