Hey, thanks.
I bought it during last year winter deal for bargain.
I'm planning a seven day trip with it, maybe cycling with only the bare necessities luggages and 1000km across France -

^ that's the V4 right, with no wishbone? Did it come with the fork drilled for a brake/light or did you do that yourself? My V3 has no drilling there but I'd love to fit a light in that position

I ma de the hole by myself... That was pretty hard to made by the way.
This is the v4 without wishbone yeah :)

-4 maybe (they exist).

Really?
That might make things a bit more interesting for me. -

My pompino v4. Love it!!

Easy you say? I'm considering doing this to my pomp also.
If you find a source for cheap braze-ons do let me know. I'm not considering running gears yet, but am thinking about a new powder coat so it'd be sensible to future proof just in case if it can be done affordably.
Oh, and, I have used the dmr hanger/chaintug combo with a shimano quick release. Held in place fine. It was a pig to fit, though. Needs three hands. This was on a dmr frame, so not positive it would work on a pomp.

The hole isnt drilled all the way through the fork crown. i had to drill through the back of the crown in order to secure a rack. its doable.

I'm building a slightly-modified pompino as a sscx bike at the moment. Current project thread here: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/264797/#comment12172004

Low stack headsets and pompinos. Yes?no?what and how much please.
-
• #4895
Why do you want a lower stack height? Fork steerer too short? The lowest total stack on a standard 1 1/8", as far as I'm aware, is a Crank Bros Iodine. It's about 20mm (compared to 31.4mm for a chris king, for example).

I'm in the market for a new headset.
I'm just seeing what alternatives are. -

I was looking at this:

Won't fit a Pompino. You need to search for EC34 headsets for Pompini.
Cane Creek 10/40/110 headsets are all 28mm total stack in EC34.
Cracking build there AlfredV, Pompinos really are jacks-of-all-trades.
