Interesting commute, neatly got blown off in Finsbury Park.
In other news, it was a bit windy today.

I have recently been wafting about all statesman like on an upright Dutchbike and I'm starting to think the nodders have got it right.
It's actually very nice going slow; you see more, you get less sweaty so can wear normal clothes, you get less stressed, you smile at peds as you cruise on by and they smile back. I like it.
I expect by the end of the week I'll be back seeking cheap tarckbiek thrills, but for now I'm all about the waft.
To think they all laughed at my noddy ' s day out big Dutch bike....

Nothing like studies and statistics to get in the way of a perfectly good prejudice.
I do wonder about the school run being a symptom of peoples desire to drive to work. I would imagine the mechanism is rather the other way around, that the thinking is; "If I am already driving sweetie-pie to school I may as well just drive the extra into work while I'm at it, save a double journey."
They can't all be spring cleaning their holiday homes in Provence. Is there a corresponding and comparable reduction in rush hour journeys by public transport? If not then could that indicate the modal choice of the parent is predicated by the perceived transport needs of the offspring.
Anyways, hooray for fewer cunts in 4x4s.

^ this, but also, how fucking busy is it getting these days?!
More bikes than cars this morning on my commute!3/10 Where were you hiding in January??>
What we should be kicking off about is the lack of reaction from TfL, London Assembly, Government to the numbers using bike instead of cars yet we're still expected to use less than fit-for-purpose infrastructure.

Few train companies in history have ever made a profit, Subsidy is for the public good.

Nationalisation is for the public good, subsidiaries make rich cunts richer using money taken from everyone else.

Indeed, at this rate, TfL et all pretty much discouraging it and preventing the growth.
It's like they don't care that their city is polluted to fuck.

If people find it hard to navigate that junction, then the junction isn't design right.

Then why the fuck do they have shareholders getting richer and richer, whilst providing a service that has at best stagnated if not gone backwards. All using the infrastructure that WE ALL PAID for. Didn't the govnt tell us that the services we unworkable in the run to selling it off cheap? Yet money is still being made for someone?

I thought this bit sounded quite promising, it's been considered that not everyone is going to want to ride on the cycle path.
Considering additional improvements for cyclists who wish to remain on the carriageway such as, widening the carriageway northbound on the Elephant and Castle Link Road to allow for 4.5m bus lane to offer space for cyclists to overtake buses, and introducing a new cycle feeder lane on the approach to St George’s Road to offer better protection to cyclists approaching the junction
