  • Since when have you been part of the SKHMA committee?

You have to earn one for a start.

  • Any reason why the roads were so empty tonight along the CS8, around 6:15? Barely any cars at Vauxhall Bridge/Battersea, was kinda nice apart from the strong wind.

  • Carnage where Bloomsbury Street crosses New Oxford Street this morning - one of the Bloomsbury Street South bound traffic light has somehow twisted so it's facing East meaning a lot of people going Westbound are trying to cross at the wrong time, obviously every just blames the other people & plows through regardless. Be careful out there.

Rest of the commute was fine, lovely day for it.

  • Busenger. Broken down bus in Brixton meant fucking carnage. Took 40 minutes to get from Fridge to the other side past the Academy.

I should have stayed in bed for an extra hour and rode in.

  • it's about a 4 minute walk!

  • First ride home in daylight yesterday, such bliss

  • Brixton has been a nightmare all week, not sure what is going on.

Talking of Brixton cycling down Atlantic Rd last night, big fella steps into the road and just shouts Fu8k off. Most bizarre

  • I know - but then you're basically getting off the bus, walking 4 minutes down the road to the first bus stop north of Brixton, then waiting for your bus again there. So I just stayed on the bus.

    159s aren't that frequent.

  • +1 I think it's the back up from the Oval clusterfuck. Grim anyways.

  • Just had a fantastically fun race with an older gent riding an electric bike, me on my spinny singlespeed.

He eventually killed me, flying past in an aero tuck.

  • I knew that was coming.

  • You can have the inaugural Ingvar Kamprad award as consolation.

  • Over my head, but I assume that is offensive :-)

  • Oh.IKEA, of course.

  • New cycling cap, but forgot glasses.

    Streaming eyes

  • That's so 2 years ago, didn't you know; opera is the new IKEA.

  • Road rage in Scotland (not my pic)

  • Full time lurker on lfgss, decided to make my first post.

Half-term made the breeze down Church Rd, Bristol nigel_thornbury_smashing.gif
Got to work super early and opted against my usual ritual of hiding in the office. Sat outside with a coffee and bacon tart, watching the gurls go by.

    (disclaimer: there were no girls)

  • I know the stadium is quiet at Arsenal, but that's pushing the limits of credibility.

  • Roads seemed super quiet for rush hour this morning. Bombed down whitechapel road with minimal car interaction.

9/10 for people forgetting clocks changed, -1 for headwind.

  • School holidays, so all the cretins who drive their kids 1.2 miles to school are off the roads.

  • School holidays init.

A brief relief from all the parents who feel they have to put little precious in an 4x4 armoured personnel carrier to safely get then the 200 yards to school (then park on the pedestrian crossing zig-zags or stop in the middle of the road while dropping them off).

    Edit: @andyp got there first.

  • I wondered why hadn't been almost squashed by a school bus full of dulwich darlings today.

  • @andyp ah, makes sense thanks!

considered in my head there putting school holidays in my calendar to remind me of potential fun commutes in future. realised that a male living alone with no children probably will struggle to justify this when someone questions him later.
