  • Good year btw

  • To be fair, track bike in general tend to be longer than the top tube suggested, so you probably end up riding with the same stem length as your CX bike.

Only question is whether you're happy with the short headtube enough to ride it.

  • i am just shy of 180 and used to ride a 55cm... 50cm would have my knees knocking handle bars!

  • 185cm and I ride an XL (58cm) Vig. Couldn't imagine riding anything smaller than a 56cm.

  • since we're all talking about it i'm 186cms and like to ride 58TTs with loooong stems and slightly smaller STs.

For what its worth i owned a L(59?) geo MASH (mielec lolz) and found it very small.

  • 54 center-top seattube is all good - the 76° steepness prolonges the top tube to a quite long front-center measurement of 566mm.

You'll fit fine with 140mm stem and setback on your seatpost - take it for a spin and collect the win.

[184cm doing the 53cm top tube histogram].

Your saddle to bar drop will be like this (the size S planetX I'm on).

  • Being a shameless vulture here but I'm 175cm's, I'd probably get away with a 50, if this sale falls through I'd be very interested if he still wants to pass it on.

  • Spring is getting closer and I fancy nicer wheels for the Vig. What are my options for all black with black braking surface?

  • Nothing aluminium will stay black if you use a brake.

  • If it's blacker then sliver I'll be happy

  • HPlus archetypes. Mavic Ellipses. All anodising will go quick though using brakes.

  • Is there a dedicated Mavic Exalith alloy clincher out yet? In theory Cosmic SLR is an alloy clincher with a black braking surface and a carbon fairing over the top. Ksyrium SLR is Maxtal Alloy ? #justsayin #muchodeniro

  • I dont mind if it fades, but I mean faded black/gray is better then silver. Probably go with first instinct and get some Ellipses

  • It won't fade, it will wear through the anodizing in about 2 weeks and then look crap, either go brklz or get some black open pros.

  • And anyway, silver rims on a Vig is a big look.

  • Then I'll feel like I need to wrap my bars pink too. Might swap some spare ones on and see how it looks though. Would rather just have all black and have a brake. Not sure if I want carbon though.

  • Archetype, you can even get the dark grey; works well on that frameset.

Oh and here with faded front.. excuse the offensive steerer tube length.

  • Well I bought it. Little bit more than I wanted to spend but meh.
I'll strip it, clean it, service it and ride it. If I can't get on with the size then @Antidotes has first dibs 👍
Just some random Q&D shots of it when I got home 😊
