What time is it? Watches and horology

Whenever I see the Tag Monaco, I think of Breaking Bad. I dont normally like square watches but that one is nice.

What's the budget? I assume just under 3k if you've been looking at speedys?

Daytonas are gross. I know how technically brilliant they are but they just lack finesse aesthetically.

nah, 1k max but prefer to spend less, used of course and don't mind patina if mechanics are good, I can pick up either of the ones I mentioned for under a grand but interested in others, vintage heuer at a push or a tag targa florio can be had but Rolex are too pricey for what I want.

I still miss my old Tag that went in the burglary, lovely watch... Some of those old Heuers are totally gorge... An old Carrera beats the pants off a Daytona... #imho #obvs

A 2 year old, daily-worn Steinhart Ocean Vintage GMT sold on eBay yesterday for more than they cost new direct from Steinhart.

eBay is weird like that... Suckas all over the shop...

Seemed odd to me. I've decided that that is the watch I am going to get for the moment, but they are not available until June, and there is no facility to pre-order.

I know it's out of stock too but surely the GMT Ocean 1 Black (w/ ceramic bezel) is a much nicer looking watch:
