I'm 6.1, 32 waist and wear a medium race cape.
Have been riding the last few nights in its perfect for the rain, wind, cold, high tempo sessions and the sweaty commute home afterwards, it is however not made for having a quick coffee in, I get cold as soon as I stop moving..

Perhaps the wrong place to ask, but has anyone tried the aliexpress Rapha stuff? Tempted by the jerseys, but I reckon bibs are worth spending money on to get a decent pad etc.

Is that a thinly veiled threat to shut mouth?
-

They are fake. Which means you won't get the pad you're looking for.
-
• #20067
Yeah, no interest in bibs for that very reason. I'm interested to see the jerseys though as there seems to be less to go wrong. I saw one kit that a friend had and it looked like shit, but some people seem to think their tops are fine.
Again, probably the wrong thread to ask in...

There's nice but not pricey alternative sportswool, and then there's just plain ol fakes. Can't understand the appeal :/
-
• #20069
Do as you will but remember that to manufacture this stuff they will use inferior materials and practices that could include children with sewing machines and you have no recourse if it falls apart.

Are rapha a super-ethical manufacturer? I've not seen anything to suggest so, I was under the impression that they made all their stuff in far east sweat shops.
For £15 I'm not expecting any after sales to be honest. May try some 'assos' stuff as presumably the fake rapha isn't going to use sportswool type stuff as @yemble says. Stuff that's already polyester is probably easier to fake.
Will investigate anyway.

I saw some guy at a cafe with some knock off Rapha, looked garbage. All printed out of proportion, not cut and sew like the real stuff.
-
• #20073
Thanks. I knew there probably would be something about it somewhere, I just hadn't looked.
My perception of fake stuff has always been that the cut is shit, and what I've seen supports that. Lots of people on other forums talking about how well made fake stuff is though, but then they're probably the same people who don't believe in paying more than £30 for any piece of cycling clothing and that this is the epitome of good value and style.
Just pondering, anyway.

^New trade team jersey?

Is it just me or isn't the point in buying premium clothing is that they perform well, fabrics are top notch, cut is good, aftersales service etc etc. Whats the point in getting some knock off stuff? Just go to decathlon and by some btwin if you want cheap.
Does anyone know if the women's souplesse jacket equivalent to the men's pro team jacket?
