Advantage of swimming is that it is knee friendly....problem is finding a quiet pool you can swim without disturbance!

It is always the knees....I used to run but my knees could not cope with the pounding...I liked running...but sadly my knees didn't.... So cycling became my staple....and swimming....I love being cut off from the world...the silence and comfort of water is perhaps a return to the security and comfort of the womb.

For Sale: one waterproof iPod shuffle 2Gb, with original box and bits.
I bought this iPad shuffle about 12 months ago and have used it once or maybe twice.. I had an injury and couldnt run so i thought swimming might be the answer but it wasnt.
It's a clever piece of kit, 'waterfi' buy ipods from apple and are licensed (I think) to inject the pod with silicone or something so you can listen to music in the swimming pool. You have to wear a cap to stop the ear pieces from falling out but otherwise it works surprisingly well.
Anyway, I prefer running, swimming is a bit too zen for me...
