That was a great race

Paoloni hoods angle is anti.
What has been seen.
This is my favourite win of the year hands down.

Blinder from Paolini. Well deserved

What a race, best of the year so far, and there's been some good ones
-
• #1538
Paolini smashed it, definitely deserved it most out of all of them for all his work for Kristoff

• #1539
What happened to Stannard today?
-
• #1540
Fantastic race. Intensely tactical. Thomas was great.
Was it a Terpstra/Vandenberg duo that Stannard rode away from at Nieuwsblad? Etixx sort-of threw they're chance of a win today.

Still ill?
-
• #1542
It's a compliment of course but Thomas was so heavily marked, Debuschere barely moved from his wheel, and they looked to him to counter the EQS attacks.

very much looking forward to Jered Gruber/Tim de Waele/Cor Vos/Kristof Ramon's photos of today with riders hanging into the wind to stay upright, the echelons and whatnot

Wiggins was the one who asked the jury to stop the race, the race director now tells the Sporza journo. He didn't think it was too extreme, thankfully

• #1545
Is Wiggins expecting sun and warm breeze for his most wanted P-R?

Second to Thomas taking an amazing double, Paolini's win was a great result. Ettix-Misstep blundering again, Geraint looking stronger and more confident every race and Paolini winning with style (except for the aforementioned hoods), grace and deference. "It is the best win of my career. Next week I'll be working for Alexander again."

Super kudos to Paolini for that one. The six chasers could have brought him back so easily if G wasn't the only one willing to work.
-
• #1548
Yes plus Boonen, was Stannard +3
-
• #1549
True, the lack of work from Terpstra and Vandenbergh was outstanding at that point, one to chase and then one to attack once it was brought back.
Is it me though or does Mr. In Form and Strong/Vanmarcke look seriously spent by the time it came to it?

I think they were all utterly fucked and had nothing to give.
What a race. G is a monster!
Fuck the stage races race the classics g.
Paoloni hoods angle is anti. But he deserves this (esp after MSR)
