Sorry, I don't have a write-up but it was a very even and enjoyable game to watch: end to end throughout; tit for tat goal scoring; pretty clean; lots of passion; and a few wonder goals thrown in for good measure.
Game 1: 2-1 Dip Dye
La Haute Bourgeoisie: Robbie 3:30
Dip Dye: Joe 12.30, Woody 13.30
Game 2: 3-2 La Haute Bourgeoisie
La Haute Bourgeoisie: Robbie 10.15, Robbie 11.00, Matt 12.30
Dip Dye: Woody 3.30, Ed 7.00
Game 3: 1-1
La Haute Bourgeoisie: Vidal 8.00
Dip Dye: Woody 3.30

-
• #733

• #734
scared of you illegally dolphin slapping into Vit's bike again...
-
• #735
You worried of dem checks from Shane eh? ;)
-
• #736
Which side you subbing for beagle? ;)
-
• #737
more scared of you all chicken winging because you can't take a proper check
-
• #738
So macho...
-
• #739
So do we have a ref?
-
• #740
maybe, maybe not. Shane's got a puncture on his car on the way so he's not going to make it so maybe beagle will have to sub instead of ref or this isn't going to happen
-
• #741
What a surprise. We can reschedule. We'd still have no ref. According to your own message anyway, there are no team replacements, only subs, and you already have one in Greg.
-
• #742
we don't have time to reschedule tbf! only thing to do is ask if Greg can be a replacement full time!
my availability at the minute is minuscule and I got this day free especially after it took us 3 weeks to decide a date. it won't be doable again! -

Talked to Vit and Phil. We're out. We need a ref, we don't have one. Your player pulled out at the last minute (not the first time either, same thing happened with a scheduled game when Victor was on the team), most cars I know have a jack and spare tire, and you're attempting to field a division one player that's already been discussed at length here, get a different sub. You should also get your team player to engage with the process of organising the game. No responses to a single message on the forum, no emails, no completion of the spreadsheet we put together to organise the game, and no phone number given to talk to him. You said you wanted to play some weekday evening but made no attempt to actually organise that either. If your player doesn't play in London regularly then he should actually make more of an effort than the others to use online tools to help us get the game together. Every other team we've organised with doesn't seem to have the same reluctance your team does. If we miss a deadline then I don't think @Chukker_Dredd would have any issue with giving us nine points as a forfeit. Have you organised your game with Clerks yet?

Also this is the last post from me on this thread now today, I'm switching off and enjoying some time with my kid. Get your act together.

kev the reason we didnt play midweek was because you guys wouldnt play at newington. you flat out refused to play at newington and only gave us the option of weekends at HH which we discussed at length was near on impossible. everyone has changed plans and stopped worked for this day and you throw a tantrum. i didnt go to work today for this, thats a big issue for me.
as for shane, he replies every time to me and we still sorted a time and a date. team effort no need for individual responses. you also think someone who relies on his car for work is going to prioritise driving 150 miles on a spare to play a polo game and then have to use it the next day as he wont have a spare day for weeks to get it fixed.
we definitely adhered to your tantrum about court and time and place to make this work. there was very little sway from 'your' team!
dont you worry ill speak to matt! we were going to sort it out after today but thats absolutely none of your business -

Fuck... this escalated quickly. My bad for not coming today, but miles hit the nail on the head, i drive over 500 miles a week, space savers and a jack aint an option. I don't come on the forum anymore cos this webpage wont work on iphones. To be honest, the league has kinda killed polo this winter for me, i give lists of dates that i am very available (usually in London) to my team and not once has another team fitted in with my schedule, but i have on more than one occasion driven over 100 miles after work to play shitty league games.
I know its the london league and you'll counter with the non-london players argument, but fuck it, have the points if it makes you feel better. -
• #747
I don't check beagle ;)
-
• #748
Both teams were aware that weekends at hh court is better for good game and are harder to organise, but agreed to try it anyway. Two months of work )). The aim was to plan it weeks ahead and has been stated at least 3 times that if hh fixture fails it should be organised on weeknight.
West Way expressed objections about Beagle subbing for Much Jokes about 3 weeks ago. League comm is aware of Beagle subbing as inappropriate for either of the teams and should be agreed beforehand.
This is second time Much Jokes vs WestWay was pull out last minute.
Sorry Shane this haven’t work out for you. I believe we will have a chance to play against you and Miles soon!

Seems like my trolling has been taken a bit too far - I have never been asked to sub prior to this morning when Shane got a puncture. In the past few weeks there were other names being mentioned most notably French Kevin and IMO he was the most likely to be called up ahead of myself if ever a sub is needed.
That said, there's no refs (I would have volunteered to ref had the game started later) and hence even if there were full teams on both sides, I dont think the game would proceed would it? So Shane's inavaibility is a non-issue.

Just to say I would've loved to have reffed this (even in the rain, with my GoPro) but I am working today.
Don't get aggro with each other people, it's just a game
If it's a league decider I really really really think it should be at our cities finest court.
