  • just done this modification to the Automatix hub,freewheel version so v slight difference on internals to the mcgraw images but it worked really well. Test ride completed, changes at a perfect point for me,almost getting too late, but great for inclines. It was pretty easy to do but a handy hint, look at how the spring is fitted before you take it out and bend it. i didn't and had to figure out how it worked.All good though and i recommend it.

  • update on build. The drive side bearings self destructed at about 200 miles of commuting.The race is poor quality and just fell to pieces. I replaced it with individual bearings which was not too tricky and so far this seems to be a good solution.Could have been caused by my bad adjustment of the cone bolts i suppose.
