I think I am getting sucked into slvls. The shame is tough to live with.

I've always run. Much as I love cycling above all else. Sometimes I just want to put on a pair of trainers and og. Especially if its raining.
I tend to hit the gym when my legs are fatigued. To get a training kick while resting them. I've now swapped that to swimming (Yeah my legs sink like dead weights).
So I'm not really slvlss. I'm just a cyclist that can enter the odd tri.
^denial.

If scandis have saunas in tris then I'm emigrating immediately!

It would probably also involve getting really hot. Then running outside and rolling in the snow.
So dont pack just yet.

Actually did that at a ski hotel With my then 8 year old son. Boiled ourselves, and then ran out the patio doors and made snow angels in just Our swim shorts. Fecking shock to the system. But the resulting snow angels had impressive nipples.

In another csb moment, I did the Wimbledon Common half marathon at the weekend, the highlight of which was mugging this womble.

There's only shame if you had any pride to begin with.
I have Audax to thank for this not being a problem for me.

Well done! Excellent photo.
How much did you enjoy the hills round the back of Putney Vale Cemetery?

Nordics = nuddy, no?
And then beat yourself with birch...

thats what I
hopedthought.(I did make a nudie snow angel. But the nipples were still the most prominant feature :( )

Have run 70km so far this week, that's almost enough for a decent base for a marathon! Another 6 to do tomorrow and might sneak in a short run on Sunday before I start to taper for brighton...
Surprisingly no noticeable injuries to speak of, other than a few minor aches, I have to say I'm loving my CEP compression socks, i don't seem to get tired lower legs at all when running in them.
I just need to keep saying enough nice things so they give me some calf guards for free.

Parkrun, aiming for sub-25, will see what the official timing is but it'll probably be 25:01. Bah.
Still, a new PB, and even better given that I've put on a few kg in the last couple of months.

12 miles run, 4 x 0.97 mile loops (what an annoying number) at ~5k pace in Z4, then 8 x 30 second sprints in Z5 flat out.
All in a howling gale.

Southern 12 stage today. 2nd team in on a very blustery day. Makes a trip to Milton Keynes worthwhile.
4 weeks to go.

It just occurred to me that I've done absolutely nothing to organise accommodation for the night before London Marathon. Entry came as a bit of a shock to me (I got a running club slot) and I don't even have a proper idea of where is a good place to start looking for maximum convenience.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

london bridge train station is pretty much fucked this year so trains to greenwich might be an issue, definitely check in advance.
if it is fucked the thames clipper service is a good backup that most people dont think to use. takes a bit longer but you'll get a seat and they have working toilets on board.
also the DLR gives you easy access from east london which might expand the list of places you can stay.

Ran my first 10 miler last night; discovered my nipples can handle up to 9 miles only in the rain
:/
^ my 5k and 10k pbs are still at the end of triathlons, hope to add half marathon to that list this year as well...
it might be because some triathlons are poor at measuring distances though...
