What'S the consensus on carbon forks? Looking at the ovals, they seem will respected...

ovals are puke.

Puke is good for triathlon Rob, please remember the brief.
This is a long distance bike, so slammed positions are not necessary. That Time fork looks slightly terrifying...
I've seen that test, but they're all very old forks, so not relevant anymore. Not very grateful am I? Feel a bit like Kanye thanking Zane Lowe the 700th time he sticks his head up his arse.
"Thank you very much"

As a present, for me? But I've only met you once, how kind!
Fork is srs, but a bit out of my budget. Also, haven't seen it tested anywhere @Smallfurry

Sorry. I jest.
I'd get the Reynolds personally.

Are you going with 1" or 1⅛"? @Scilly.Suffolk found a 1" Oval, and @xavierdisley reckons they work well with a Hed3. In 1⅛" for wire spoked wheels I'd be swayed by the fact that Cervelo chose the 3T Funda until they started making their own forks, and their FK26 and derivatives don't seem much different from the 3T either.

due to the very tapered ht i got, I went with 1" 1/8. Rose bikes coming through with cheaper than trade deals again I see.

Cervelo tells me the fastest way to carry water is vertically beween bars, with any excess bottles close and thin behind the saddle. The tunnel tests they did with various bikes showed each bike was slippiest with the bottle in a different position, so no way to know where would be best for me. Therefore I'm going between the bars and up my bum.

Living someone's dream.
Everything but seat stays brazed in place. Will probably go with the 3t fork. Weight is going to be 2.5kg, so not feather light.

@BareNecessities it's not even having a topper, so will be long. Also needs a bit off. Quite a lot...

it's not even having a topper
Will there be a stubby post inside, or some more novel ( fancy ) way of attaching the saddle?

Just going to use the top half of a seat post. 0 mm adjustment.
Talbot fans who have not seen them might be interested in these snaps.
