Hi
Need to shift this. Happy to take whatever someone who wants it thinks it's worth. I paid a bit for it but whatever. Could make an awesome element for a frankencargo of some sort, if you like chopping things up and welding them together. I used it with swept back town bars on an early version of my Ivybike and although it's not light I really dug it. Strangely satisfying to have a really sturdy weight up front as opposed to anywhere else on a bike.
It mounts onto your fork crown at the top. I had it mounted under a caliper brake using an U-shaped extension I fashioned from a piece of plate. The small bracket thing that's part of the rack may extend enough on its own to fit under a V brake/Canti. If not some kind of extension should be pretty to knock up.
Down the bottom it sits outside your fork ends on the axle. I had it mounted onto a QR ok but probably better on a solid axle.
Rack is made of chromed steel. Some of the chrome that's out of sight is rusting a bit, but I reckon some careful work wire wool would lift most of that off .
Rack fitted OK over a 700x37 tyre, but probably was designed for some kind of 26/650 I would imagine.
Rack has a small bracket with a mounting hole to fix a light or dynolight to the right of the front wheel (which seems weird since that makes more sense on our side of the road than theirs, but hey ho.)
The box bears the legend 'La Poste' and is made of a nylony cordura type stuff, stiffened somehow inside (except for the lid). It's basically one massive space inside but there's a flat flap pocket at the front for documents / your lap top. It has click buckles to keep it from bouncing on the rack, one clip to keep the lid closed.

Oh yeah and it's bloody lovely.
