Yeah ok well that's two opinions good enough for me. Omniums it is. I'd love to go flash like @IR suggested but I'm trying to keep the total build for about £8-900. I got the frame, bb, columbus fork and chain for £400. Wheels will prob be about £250 so that's not a lot left to play with :(

I had Miche Primato cranks on my Vig for a while and they were shit. In my experience Miche stuff seems to break pretty easily. I've been running Omniums on there for the past year or so with no issues. I've replaced the BB a few times as external BB's seem to die quicker than square taper, but they're also crazy cheap so I don't mind.
