Also, what are you doing in Richmond Park on a weekend?

Helmets on handle bars is so senseless. Also parents that arent wearing helmets making their kids wear helmets. Set an example. Sorry off topic rant. :)

I was on the train as I hurt my back running a half marathon this morning and it hurt too much to ride back. Had to change trains and carried the bike up a flight of stairs and then I couldn't face putting it down in case I couldn't pick it up again so I shouldered it through the overpass (only nearly hitting a few people) then down another flight of stairs.
Is this a legit enough excuse? -

Because you have to wear a helmet on track, but don't have to wear one to the track or on the train getting into London, so it stays on the bag. So, yeah, guilty.

The car park in Richmond Park is a bit gritty, so if you've got your precious sunday best bike with you, then perhaps you don't want to have your cosmic carbones to come into contact with anything other than the unsullied black top of the RP circuit.
Or maybe it's just so people can see your bike from slightly further away.

Least they're riding a bicycle.
This strikes me as the stupidest thing in the world and I just can't understand it.
Spotted a guy earlier in Richmond Park carrying his bike from the car to the road to begin his ride. 50 metres FFS!
Why don't people just wheel them? Is it some sort of machismo thing? Is carrying a bike easier than I'm giving it credit for?
