Degenkolb's crazy chicken sprint

Matthews might have had a better chance if he muscled between degenkolb and the lampre rider instead of all the way around. Impressive long sprint from kristoff too.

Swift was too far back and got boxed in against the rails

Paolini is worth three regular super-domestiques but that was probably asking too much.

Good result. Degenkolb is a very likeable rider, vehemently clean and it's good news for German cycling.
