ALAN Carbon 54cm branded VENOM SABRE Never Ridden

Posted on
  • Selling on behalf of a family friend who lost her husband last summer - gentleman in question was a lifelong club cyclist. This was his most recent bike build, but sadly never got it finished before ill health stopped him riding. I have finished the build (transmission) and got it all set up. The bike is an ALAN carbon branded as Venom Sabre ( a British builder from the midlands who enjoyed some success in the 1990's sponsoring teams, particularly at national level on the track), Frame size 54cm. Frame number 256361 checks out as an Alan from mid 90's. All componentry New Old Stock. Bike has been stored unfinished in his workshop for 20 years.

  • This Venom brand is very interesting. How come there's nothing on it on line?
I've seen nice frames and owned one too

  • Hi, yes I was unfamiliar with them when I was first shown this bike. I found a few snippets of info online but not much. Think they built in the West Midlands, mainly in steel and their quality was quite well regarded. Went out of business late 1990's I think, that's all I know. I do remember somebody on here selling a white steel track frame / fixie of there's some months ago, and that looked like a lovely frame too.
