Took her for a little blast yesterday and she rides like a dream - why have I put off having gears for so long!?

I sold my old one to fund the new single speed commuter build, fine for pootling around the city but trips back to norfolk and summer ride in Norway will need something more substantial. Nice concorde frame with a modern groupset etc would be ideal but slightly afraid of building a geared bike.
