Shaun the Sheep, my 6 year old loved it, really like it too despite all the familiar movie tropes it was still very enjoyable. And they worked in the dogue meme, hah.

Someone in the comments referred to 12 hours of ambient noise from Deckard's apartment, it really exists:

One of the best Le Carré adaptations.

I don't know why I had to find it but I do seem to remember I liked it at the time. It has troubled me for months not knowing the name.

It's a pretty tacky movie but the atmosphere throughout is really creepy, which I really love... The composer's costume is also brilliant... Haven't watched it for years, think I'll 'purchase' out today...

had planned to see Selma last night. sold out, so instead we saw Birdman.. totally agree with JW comments, it was a half baked storyline and stereotypical view of theatre business. 4/10

So I finally got to see A Most Violent Year and wasn't disappointed.
Dream cast. Nicely shot, paced and set in a crisp winter, 1981. It's a quiet, tense film with atmosphere and drama in the dialogue - mostly between the husband (Isaac) and wife (Chastain) but with some action when the lead character is presented an opertunity.
It's interesting (an unusual) to see a story drenched in low-level corruption from this angle.
The original music is pretty fantastic. Here's a bit...

monsters: the dark continent.
not bad, if loads of post 911 war movie cliches and no monsters steams your onions.

Watched Chappie yesterday, was ok.
Also watched John Doe: Vigilante, an Aussie film that was a lot better than i expected.

I started out enjoying John Doe but it all got very silly, very quickly... Stuck it out but probably wouldn't go back... My gf hated it...

The reason Daft Punk pulled in Paul Williams for their album was this film; they lifted the helmets and leather suits look straight from it

That was a great piece of music. Gonna watch the movie just because of that.
Just realised it's by the same guy that scored 'All is lost'.

Yeah, he's new to me. Someone was telling me he was inspired by the group Suicide for A Most Violent Year.
Hope you enjoy the film.

Suicide are one of the top five bands in the entire history of rock'n'roll... I wanna see the movie now, been heroes of mine since I was about 15...
A classic I'm sure as was this shitty film I'm trying to remember.
