I'm thinking about putting gears back on this bike and use it for touring:
I wanna use some 7 speed downtube shifters I have, does anyone know where to buy a nice adapter for this shifters? The downtube diameter is around 32mm. I'm not sure if this will fit: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/origin8-down-tube-shift-adapter-286-318mm-prod31401/. Does someone know another option? -

These wheels look very nice, after something wide, strong and cheap for everyday bike - is this them: http://www.bike24.de/1.php?content=8;navigation=1;menu=1000,4,123,30;product=112466 and have you seen them cheaper anywhere else?
Cheers

That's the one. Very impress with how smooth the hubs is for the price, j bend spokes mean any shop can repair it.
Bike24 pricing is good as the euro is very weak against the pound.

Nice one, thank you. Getting them now.

Where did you find this Flanders? My brother used to race in their team end of 90-ies and I think he had a bike like this one.

So I have sugino grand mighty cranks, sugino 75 ring, and a chainring bolt wrench (one that looks like a mini fork to hold bolts).
It slips. Does sugino require a special tool to hold back of bolt while you tighten?

Replace with proper chain nuts.

They're Sugino chainnuts...very very low.
Turns out there's another "fork" tool with two prongs instead of 3...that'll do rightly I'd say.
-
• #100239
Yup the middle prong needs to go - use whatever tools you have for anhialation.

thinking of putting a china carbon smp on it. Either the rails or my seat post are bent on the rolls. Regardless it's still comfy

- I fell in love with this neoretro forumbike: http://ep1.pinkbike.org/p4pb11766028/p4pb11766028.jpg
- after summer it will probably be build up period correct
- I want to do something different

Don't worry to much though, will keep it retro-looking. Cinelli 1R quill stem with criterium bars, shiny Chorus titanium seatpost with Cinelli Volare SLX saddle, 36h silver rims with tanwall open corsa's, ...

The moment when...you do bike maintenance and one bearing on rear hub is rough as (4 letter word) after just 6 months, one tiny winter and maybe 500 miles.
Perhaps there's time to join the Miche haters club yet... Or perhaps primato hubs have an allergy to rain.
But if you were to use cheese, surely there are better varieties. A good parmesan perhaps.
Anyway, this whole affair is quite raclette-able.
