MSR is a race that particularly lends itself to a winner who keeps his nose out if the wind and then outsprints the riders who've done the work.
Gerrans is a great example a few years ago.
Anyway - predictions? I'd like to see Cavendish win but I'm going to go really left field and say Lobato.

I just noticed that Felix Lowe has made a similar prediction on Twitter.
But I hadn't seen that. I only copy Inrng's predictions anyway.

ominous poster! very nice. not the official one (for lack of photos of Italian riders, 500 sponsor logos and bright colours) I suspect?

wheelsucking? never seen Cav do that.
oh, wait...

No, not the official one. My company MassifCentral make them. We are doing all the Monuments this year.
I do like the ominous-ness of the black. Weather report for Sunday says rain in Milan and Sanremo but at least the temps are well above freezing.
This one is also available in "Mediterranean Blue"

The TOB route has been announced (a couple of days ago actually).
It does do some Scotland this time and misses the South West entirely. London gets the final stage.

Must have been a horrible feeling when he was on your wheel in the last kilometre.

I see that Cancellara is doing what he does best - moaning about how hard his life is. I wonder if he's going to do anything of note this year apart from whinge about it being too hot/too cold/too wet/too cobbled/too much like hard work. The 'Spartacus' nickname is looking increasingly inappropriate. 'Captain Wetlip' seems far more apt.

The cool story at 2:40 is quite charming.

"What he does best"
What, you mean consistently win some of the hardest races in the cycling calendar?
Get to fuck seriously - when you've won 3x Roubaix and 3x flanders, not to mention multiple tour stages and San Reno etc etc etc ... Then you get to moan about whatever you want.
I know he can be a whinge bag - but wetlip? L-O-L. I've had it with people complaining about him.

Sean Kelly would be laughing at you right now.

What, you mean consistently win some of the hardest races in the cycling calendar?
Yeah, with a motor in his bike. :)

I remember you got this upset last time I bought up Cancellara's whinging. Come one man, people are just flapping their gums here, it's not that serious. Homeslice does moan a lot, you can't deny it.

Saying he moans is fine (it's hard to argue with that), but calling him a wetlip?
-
• #997
Yeah, OK, an element of hyperbole there. But the shine of his previous achievements is being somewhat tarnished, for me at least, by his incessant whinging about pretty much everything. It's the fact that he's won Paris Roubaix three times that makes his moaning about the cobbles in the TdF so pathetic.

Yeah, he'd probably get all upset and start moaning about that too. Not as upset as you appear to be though, rather curiously.

Rumbled....
Perfectly legitimate in this case as the underdog. Were he to do it again, it would, of course, no longer be OK.
