I'm bumping my own question. Is that allowed?

I had the same issue with my Pinarello, the steerer had been cut for a low stack Shimano 600 headset. The one mine came with was knackered but it should be low enough if you can find one in good nick and would suit your Dura Ace group.
For Campagnolo: a Pista headset might be low enough, if you can find one, or a Campagnolo Gran Sport which look identical to me but tend to be cheaper and more avaiable. Both around 33-34mm
For a new but vintage looking option Tange Levin has a stack height of 33.3mm. Readily available online. Can't go wrong for the price (roughly £15)
I don't know of any as low as 32mm , but hope that helps..

Thank you zootsuit.
I paid an embarrassing amount for a Gran Sport headset today. If it doesn't fit I'm going to eat it. -

Good luck , double check the measurement and condition before you or the shop install it! . If you need new ball bearings http://www.simplybearings.co.uk offer great service .
The good thing about quality vintage stuff is as long as it's in good condition, in the event you need to resell it there will always be someone who will buy it !

I think eating is the way forward.
I'm having the people at Jozef's in Peckham build up my 1993 Treviso GPX. I got a bunch of Dura Ace 7400 stuff in the belief that that was one of the build options for a complete bike as supplied by Pinarello.
Anyway the headset doesn't fit (neither does the BB but that's a different issue and I think a Campy will go in there instead).
I'm told I need a vintage style headset. The 7400 stack height is too long. It needs to be about 32mm and I think it needs to sit into the head tube.
So here's my question:
Does anyone know what Dura Ace (preferably) or Campagnolo part might suit? I'm looking for the latest rather than the earliest. If at all possible, I'm looking for what Pinarello were building with/could have built with in 1993.
Thanks.
