I have a supersix 2012 with external routing, I use an ultegra chainset with the wheels MFG adapters and SRAM Red BB bearings. It's serving me well with no creaks so far. I also used the heavier, older FSA EE085 adapters and they were fine too.
Other crank options if you want to go BB30:
-Rotor
-Cannondale SiSL of the bay or SiSL2...will need to use spider-ring as apparently the previous gen is not 11 speed compatible, don't quote me on it
-FSA
-Specialized
-ClaviculaI only went ultegra because it came with the groupset, the stiffness to weight ratio is still one of the highest out there, weight is reasonable and shifting (according to multiple reviews I've read) is the best out of the chainrings supplied with aftermarket cranks.
Although on a cannondale, if I were to upgrade, I'd go SiSL2 with spider-ring, because bling and weight weenie.
Edit: also re: the di2 thing, if you are externally routed you will need to externally route di2 and have an external battery, unless you drill some holes in the frame to get the wires up into the seattube for a seatpost battery.
Curious about Ultegra Di2 on a CAAD10 - Chainset options? BB30 (not using an adaptor). Running SRAM Red Exogram now, 10 speed. Could I keep that? Also, does the black 2014 CAAD10 frameset have electronic cable routing? Can't see it, or am I being a dunce?
