I've got a cheap double wheel bag and cut some holes in it to thread webbed luggage straps through and make loops. I then attach the straps of my backpack through the loops and ride with all my kit on my back.
Takes a while to get anywhere in a headwind and you need to make sure cars and buses give you enough space on the road, but I've not had any issues doing this.

You need a pair of wheel carriers. Like the ones I have for sale here;

Carriers were an option I've thought about. Although not sure I'd like to handling in crosswinds with 2 extra 82mm wheels on the front end.

Do they work with carbon forks? Seems like the lawyer tabs and leg 'bulge' would get in the way, unless I'm misunderstanding how they work!

I've had no problems using them with carbon forks with lawyer tabs. You set them up so they are pointing straight up, thus avoiding the lawyer tabs.

I guess it depends on the forks then, mine have bulges in the legs like these, that preclude that:

If you want to throw money at the problem Chrome makes a backpack for this, I have seen others too if you ask Google

What tubs are you using? I don't use anything too light at Herne Hill and so don't have a problem riding a couple of miles to the station on road race tubs.

I imagine wheelbags in the wind and see me going sideways. I've been lazy lately and just left my gatorskin on for HHV, but when I've take lighter tires I just thread the strap through the spokes on the bag.

I've recently bought a track bike which I use on both the road and track. It came with tubulars which I want to use on the velodrome and I have clinchers for road riding.
The only way I can get to HHV or LVV is by cycling there. So.. I was wondering if anyone on the forum rides a spare set of wheels to the track and if you have any insight or tips on doing it. I have a double wheel bag for the tubulars and I was thinking of bungee strapping it to my backpack.
Any other ideas welcomed!
