Glad to see this thread still running. I have a Toscana, built up with a Veloce and hand built wheels (Harry Rowland). Lovely to ride and often gets compliments. Prefer it to my carbon Punarello and rode it from Channel to the Med this year.
On the look out for a top end a Concorde - SLX, Ciocc build.....

Hi All,
I just picked up my winter project and looking for a bit of help identifying this Concorde Astore. I've been searching the forums and haven't come across this year yet. As well, I can't decipher the SN. SN# 250279.
Anyone know what year? Or some history on this CROMOR frame?
Thanks
SP

SP, it's hard to find much information on Concordes - earlier frames with an Italian flag on the top tube were apparently basically rebranded Ciocc's and were ridden by the Dutch PDM team in the late 80's. There are copies of the 1989 and 1993 Concorde brochures online if you google. Yours looks a bit like one of the paint schemes in the 93 brochure and it obviously says Astore on it - guessing it's Columbus Cromor tubing..

I like your bike but what happened to the toe straps?
@SkyPierre sorry about my discourteous comment, the frame looks great.

ha cheers, they're not staying on there but they don't use straps http://www.wiggle.co.uk/mks-half-deep-section-toe-clip-with-leather/ .
I used to use them when I commuted in London, I didn't like been strapped in. Loved them. Not for riding fixed though...

Here is mine. Not sure of the year. size 60 x 58 c-c, tubing i think is Columbus SL.
Gruppo is Mavic SSC only deviation being the Dia-Compe brakeset chosen because i'm not too keen on the Mavic branded Modolos, can never find their aero routed levers.Wheels are Mavic 500 hubs (bliss) laced to Mavic GP4 tubulars. Pedals are Mavic by Look clipless, Saddle is a Super Turbo in green. Block is a 7 speed Suntour Winner pro 13-21.
BTW : I can't find out anything on 'Dufour' either as a squad or sponsor.

Hello all
New Concorde owner here. I know very little about the frame but I do have two questions...
How do I go about identifying the tubing?
Was 25.2 seatpost common for these bikes?Apologies if these are easily answered - I'll be sure to sift through all the brochures! Anyway, here are some pics. More can be found in the CP thread.
