This would be my prefered quiet route from Ebbsfleet football club into town. The main stretch past Ebbsfleet train station has a wide cycle lane on the pavement which turns into a bus lane just before the police station. If you go straight over the roundabout after this there's a nice windy old industrial road (though be careful there might be glass near the pub) which takes you to the roundabout at Asda. It's definitely a more relaxed journey than London Road and the Overcliff which has a number of zebra crossings which stick out into the road and lots of little roads joining up.
