Seems like a lot of money for a Seiko and that gothic typeface makes me want to hurl.
It's of course all subjective but a used JLC compressor GMT could be had for not much more and they stand out as different to your average style (i have a compressor obsession at the moment)

Anybody want to buy a nearly new Smiths Everest?
Its in near perfect condition complete with box, papers and 11 months warranty. Just a tiny superficial light scratch on the bezel between 8 and 9 that would polish right out if you wanted. You can't see it in normal use though.

If Dammit wants a Seiko that's going to rival a Rolex, it's going to have to be a Grand Seiko, so will have to be expensive and come with the gothic typeface. I don't mind the typeface as much as I mind the repetition of Seiko/GS/Grand Seiko. IMO Every one of them could be improved by having just Grand Seiko or Seiko/GS at the most.

My first Super Compressor just arrived from Italy... chuffed.
Will probably have a different strap on it, but lovely addition to my collection - just need to save up for a 42mm black Longines version now

Can't get my head round Seiko being a premium brand when you can buy it in your local branch of Argos . (i do understand the difference in movement - but anything with a Logo has a premium added) and you buy a pimp watch like a rolex or JLC for the investment value too right? the second hand prices for spring drives are 50% off retail it seems, whereas my boss bought a brand new daytona last year and it's worth £500 more than he paid for it already?
