He won the white jersey yeah but he never really put in any damaging attacks. So what I mean is, it's nice to actually see him, rather than just coming in in the first group or attacking after others have already escaped.
I seem to remember a mountain stage with him riding on the front to minimise damage to GC.
I hear what you say about attacking, but he didn't do much of that today either, just holding a tempo (which seems to be his style).
