20km to go in Tirreno, escapees will probably be caught before the final climb.
still snowing up there btw! let's see how Poels will hold up against the big guns... his attack yesterday looked powerful and he is positive about his form.

6km to go, Kreuziger speeding up the pace for Saxo now, Contador must be feeling good. Quintana not showing anything, Nibali, Mollema and Poels keeping up. Waiting for the first real attack
escapees still not caught but it won't be long now. snow piling up at the top...

I hope dirty Scarponi doesn't win. He looks pretty good at the moment. It would be nice if they could show a time gap once in a while.

whoa Quintana's loose
-
• #906
and Nibali dropped
-
• #907
Pinot leading the chase?
-
• #908
it was, after Bert slowed down
-
• #909
Bert is riding like a yo-yo

• #910
What's not to love about Pinot
-
• #911
Contador is dragging everyone with him each time he goes. Maybe not steep enough for him to really get away?
-
• #912
Nice one Bauke!
-
• #913
He must be freezing with no arm/leg warmers on.
The weather has aged Quintana by 15 years.

"...looking forward to seeing the little Colombian bouncing over the cobbles."
Be careful what you wish for.

Superb move and win by Quintana, pleasantly surprised by Mollema's determination

What a ride from Quintana and mad props to Mollema too. Conditions are terrible.

Adam Yates home between Bert and Pozzovivo. Jesus.

Pretty fascinating first 2015 glimpse of the climbers.
Nibali was useless this time last year so today doesn't necessarily mean all that much except what we all know: Quintana is fucking terrifying!

Money on Quintana for the Tour. There'll be all sorts of rubbish excuses from Contador about the weather today. He'd better win the Giro because he's not going to beat Quintana in July.

^I was thinking that too. Especially if he does try the double.

1 second down on Bertie on gc. Stunning.
-
• #922
Nice to see Pinot actually doing something for once
-
• #923
That would be Pinot - 1st loser at the TDF 2014?
-
• #924
He came 3rd, no? Peraud came in 2nd.

He won the white jersey yeah but he never really put in any damaging attacks. So what I mean is, it's nice to actually see him, rather than just coming in in the first group or attacking after others have already escaped.
I feel so bad for Gallopin, I wanted him to have a good final position after the great ride yesterday.
