So I finally got to see A Most Violent Year and wasn't disappointed.
Dream cast. Nicely shot, paced and set in a crisp winter, 1981. It's a quiet, tense film with atmosphere and drama in the dialogue - mostly between the husband (Isaac) and wife (Chastain) but with some action when the lead character is presented an opertunity.
It's interesting (an unusual) to see a story drenched in low-level corruption from this angle.
