Sufficiently stiff or do I spot a support between the extensions?
(p.s. My natty lock ring and spacers arrived safel... Thank you!)

The bridge was there before. I've ridden without it with the stock risers, but they tend to twist about the vertical axis, and it provides a handy mounting point for a front light too. The new stacks are only just over half the width of the stock ones, so the bridge will definitely be staying for now, until I get around to making a combined bridge/Garmin mount which should be stiffer, provide better computer placement (i.e. I'll actually be able to use the buttons) and about 40g lighter than the combination of K-Edge mount + 3T bridge.

I'm surprised you haven't removed the brake lever housing from the left side. Get the dremel out man!

It's taken me three years to cut the surplus steerer off, and I've just put away the Dremel from doing that, not going to get it out again now.

5.5 or 6.5?

That's the kind of weak excuse I'd use. It's warmed up now, you should use it again..

Zipp claim about 1s per mile difference between the Vumachrono and an ordinary crank (and they don't come any more ordinary than what I've just fitted). We'll see whether I can get that back and more by switching down to 160mm. Assuming it goes well, there's always Vision Metron to give me aeros and short cranks, and I can even re-use the Zipp BB :-)

I looked for them last year but couldn't find anyone with them so I gave up and got my trusty DA9000s. Still tempted - where are you getting yours from?

I've yet to see anybody carrying stock in 160mm, the Vision site doesn't even list the 155 and 160 any more, so who knows. The other option, which isn't just vapourware, is Rotor 3D+. Bike24 have them at a good price if you want 172.5 or 175, but if you wanted those lengths you could still have Vumachronos from Totalcycling (although their stock control software might be Totalbullshit)

55T ring in action. It's another Stronglight Zicral CH3, no idea why they used such a different design from the 56T
