Stripped my bike down yesterday and see that the (SRAM Omnium) chainring bolts had been treated with a thred locker.
How critical is this? I'd instinctively apply a little grease, but have some Loctite if that's a good idea. It's an all weather bike.

Yeah some of the Omnium ones has the green smudge - for my part I expect the green stuff to go into re-action when I tight them back again (without applying new loctite). I haven't got any issues.
