Some nice work from Helmut on the ends and I've also just noticed that where the DT meets the HT, he (presumably) has profiled it like Max.

The way the seatstays are finished, seems a little unrefined by comparison.

The ADR "about us" page states that they "...source direct from manufacturers in the Far East...": no mention of original designs until "We also have designs in progress for our own products designed by Scott Burns. Watch this space! ".

In other words, what they are currently selling aren't their own designs.

They justify a purchase from them on the grounds of their QC, but pulling the text apart doesn't reveal anything more substantive, not withstanding wind tunnel testing which isn't QC, than what any other end-user could do.

The specifications PDQ and ADR quote are almost identical, tweaked just enough to beat plagiarism search-engines:

Hongfu have quoted me $185 plus $55 shipping for either HB019 (572+-10g) or HB029 (612+-10g), which converts to +/- £160.

Bearing in mind that Hongfu have a good track record and aren't ripping-off an original design; and that ADR & PDQ are charging an extra £200 and £90 respectively for their petty point-scoring, hyperbole and ambiguity, then I'm inclined to "go East young man".

3T Vola ? I have the clips and pads on my RollerFort, they seem nice. Pretty similar to Zipp Vuka Alumina in terms of build/set-up/price. You should have bought some of those £200 Ventus that everybody hoovered up at Christmas :-)

I think there are minor differences in the range of stack/reach/width you can achieve, and the pads are different, also the base bars are different if you are talking about the complete package. Very much a personal preference thing, I was just suggesting another option which is

After some thought, I've decided to go for a complete Zipp Vuka set-up.

Hong-fu are the most expensive at £160 (latest gig has finished three weeks early, next work...) and delivery from the Far East is a consideration: I need to get this on the road ASAP.

I like a Tester-tick as much as the next man, but adding the extensions I would want to the 3T will add +/- £30 and I'm not keen on the upturned base bar handles (seen mention that they are a bit short for big hands too).

Fudges have Vuka base bars for £41 and Ribble have top-mount clips with Race extensions for £94.

Short of compelling alternatives or better prices, I'll order tomorrow.

Offered to go halves with @umop3pisdn on some 3T levers, failing which I'll get the SRAM 500.

New bearings for the Record UT in the offing; already have a Record HS, 56t ring and an inline post.

Still on the look out for an Adamo/SMP (but can make do in the short-term) and a 600/DA AX (but not sure if that will work with the forks).

Will have to "make do and mend" with a pair of Archetypes on Novatec in the short/medium term.

If I didn't have the integrated 3T levers, I'd buy SRAM and live with the possibility that they might add 0.000001m² to my C_dA in exchange for a much nicer feel.

Another reason I was leaning towards Vuka, is that they are more readily available and (as these will be a stop-gap) I'd think they'd be easier to sell on.

They are the clips shown in the picture, and they come with the +20mm and +10mm spacers and all the necessary bolts, so you have 57mm to 87mm from base bar to elbow cups in 10mm increments. They are the exact ones, from the same source, as I'm using on my RollerFort.
