Riding down Bishopsgate outside Liverpool Street a ped chatting on a mobile and munching a pastry stepped out in front of me "Woah!" I said. "Get out of the road!" he snarled. Made me sad.

What ever happened to 'The green cross code'? was the best bit of brain washing ever for kids.

A young-ish lady yelped and said "...scared me!" as I gently rolled through my green light and into the dedicated bike lane she happened to be standing in up the north end of Walworth Road earlier. But then, all around E&C today were both pedestrians and cyclists thinking about dinner.

Live in Walworth, never cycle on Walworth road. Back routes via Portland or Thurlow street are better.

Reminded myself yesterday that cycling through Brixton is at best an inconvenience, and at rush hour a complete pain in the arse. Used to put myself through that every day...
In terms of suicidal peds, Oxford St and Cheapside win I reckon. Oxford St horrible though because of the worse(r) air. The bus strikes the other month were great!
The Strand is a gamble, great when it's empty but horrible when filled with stationary traffic.
Not keen on the whole area around Tower Bridge.
