    Guess if you were aiming for clarity it would have helped to just tilt the camera down (and maybe left) a bit more (I find the background a bit distracting / not adding to the image).

  • Thanks for the tip - I think consistent good framing is the next thing I want to try and learn, I guess just taking those extra few seconds over each shot is a good place to start?

  • Yea, I guess if you have the time, then take your time?

    I learned this the hard way - spending a lot of money on film and developement, often realizing afterwards "ah fuck, it's a shit image - but it would have been better if I just pointed the camera a tad more up / down / left / right" or whatever.

    Be smart, do it with digital, just pretend it's expensive, and make an effort before you press the button
