WTF is wrong with people? Betting? I miss the days of just covering the descents in tacks.

Mind you... Could it be he was just banging the boards and she was very close and it was just one horrible mistake....
I can't believe that a cycling fan would ever do that..

Nah, look at the end when it is in slow mo. You can see a hand reach out, grab a fistful of handlebar and yank it.

Slow mo always makes things look a lot worse

Dunno, watch it hard enough and you can see it whichever way you want. Got to consider the likelihood of the whole scenario. What are the chances that someone who wanted to take out a racer getting to the barrier in the right position when someone in full sprint is close enough to reach.

Naturally you'd push rather than hook.. I'm just trying to make sense of why you would do that..
Outside from being a psychopath of course.

I don't think there is a middle ground. Watch it. What else could that person be doing?

Outside from being a psychopath of course.
That is the stumbling point. I would think a plan to deliberately sabotage a race like that would not be rational as there are too many variables for it to be achievable. But if it is meant, it is clearly not the act of a rational person.

I'm sticking with this is just an accident..
As I say, slow mo always makes thing look worse (like 'dangerous' tackles in Rugby Union). And at that speed and with that isolated clip it would always look intentional

I wish that were true, but I think we all know that it isn't.
