I'm probably not going to get a commemorative tattoo though.
My friend did this, her sweat managed to make her tattoo look very faded.
Do not recommend, do not ride, do not pass go, do not collect £200.
I've been tattooed and cycling for fifteen years and never had a problem with any of them fading. I'd suggest your friend had another issue.
