  • ..not my thing really, but I thought some in here might appreciate -

  • i think a lot of these tattoos look awesome... but i mean... so many of them make me ask "why?". For example, does that girl spend a lot of time at sea?

  • Why would you paint a room in your house a different colour?

  • @M_A_X
Exactly, i'm one who's all for aesthetic's sake. But only if it's aesthetic's sake only. When some arbitrary meaning drags along, i'm not sure it belongs on your body.

  • why people always think a tattoo should have a deep meaning?

great work, saw that on insta some weeeks ago

  • Maybe she just thinks 'boats look cool'

  • anyway it's an old boring debate.

i don't. I trying to say that when there is meaning that has nothing to do with the person i get confused. To me it's like signing up for a club because you like the t-shirt. a t-shirt you can never take off.

anyway i've always wanted a tattoo i just never went through with it for this reason.

  • If i were a girl i'd consider getting one from the likes of Amanda Wachob. Pure aesthetic. She does mostly pastels and brush strokes that are too cute for me, but nonetheless very pretty. heres a dude she did i think.

  • that website's search device is amazing, love being able to search by bodypart...

  • .

    barf

  • Aren't they're both the same photo?

  • If i were a girl.

    Stop right there.

  • I'm aiming to ignore all advice and just start cycling on Monday. (Unless it's still too painful.)

I'm probably not going to get a commemorative tattoo though.

  • You haven't had any work done for a while, you could have been getting on with it while you've been recovering. Has the collarbone "dropped" yet?

  • My friend did this, her sweat managed to make her tattoo look very faded.

Do not recommend, do not ride, do not pass go, do not collect £200.

  • If it's a boring debate then why are you starting it? >>>>>

I mean I love a good debate, but tattoos really don't need to have any meaning. Only 3 of my 13 really have any personal meaning. Doesn't make me like them any more than the others...

  • I meant no offense. I was asking a question and hoping for an answer. Why get a tattoo of a boat if you don't like boats? There's obviously no good answer.... For a second I thought we might discuss abstract tattoos which are purely aesthetic and maybe even see a few, but that went south.

    Again meant no offense.

  • There are always a few precious snowflakes in the tattoo thread.

  • Posting here totally slipped my mind. Had this done on Thursday by TanyaDSM at AKA in Berlin. First tattoo. Looks awfully lonely though so the second will follow quickly once back home.
