Why anyone who actually knows anything about watches would want a Rolex is beyond me. There are however just a few exceptions to this rule - a submariner (despite forever being tarnished by the clones it is the original) or a vintage Rolex such as the Explorer, Air King, or Perpetual Datejust.
Otherwise they're a pastiche of themselves as a brand that sold out to the highest bidder.
I think it was Joe that coined Tudor as the younger sexier sister of Rolex, as much as it pains me to say it, he was right.

Everyone I talk to about a potential Tudor purchase just says the same thing. Cool, but its not a Rolex.
