great commute in this morning.
Enjoyed it a great deal, bright and sunny, legs felt good after a couple of sun salutations.
will attempt to replicate tomorrow. -

Saw someone pull out of a row of cars to filter on the outside, but didn't look behind them first. Got bumped by a moped. Nobody hurt but they will need a new rear wheel at least.

Arf. Would rep.

Have only been cycle commuting for just under 6 months, but it was the cold 6 months. Consequently I do feel entitled to be annoyed by all these new fair weather cyclists clogging up my road.
Pretty sure that's how it works.

Actual truLOL while I'm having a George.
I wish everyone would fuck off so I can walk the seven miles from my house to my workplace in peace, down the centre of the road, wearing only a fluorescent orange helmet cover and bobbing like a pigeon.
Where's my superhighway?!?!

A George?
Is that some Milton Keynes type rhyming slang?
-
• #5485
I'm trying to think what rhymes with clooney.
FFS Skülly, pull your trousers up.

Cheers. I do feel at home here.

I don't think that. Fuck nodders. They should be shot.
They don't pay road tax either.
-
• #5489
Funny that all I posted was a picture of a flourescently clogged cycle lane with the caption nodders paradise and everyone loses their shit. I even stated I'm glad more people are getting into cycling and that I don't say anything to other road users nor intimidate or patronise them. I pass safely and obey road laws.
But I get that it makes you feel great taking the moral high ground over the Internet from the safety of your keyboards.

Has anybody been keeping score on how many high horses there are and which side the horses have chosen?
Perhaps we should consider a more bike appropriate steed metaphor?

Where's that 'I don't remember you undertaking me in January' meme when you need it?
-

Getting off the train at Cheltenham yesterday evening I was greeted by a hoard of drunk race-goers calling me Bradley Wiggins. Looking forward to that every evening this week. Could have got off at Parkway and done my usual 10 mile commute but I had a hankering for a bacon roll from the pasty shop at Temple Meads this morning so stayed on the train. #winning

Should have been drunk women in amazingly loud clothes and bad / mad hats today.
Just shout 'Hey there AP' looking behind them, that should clear the way.

Anticipating a night out, so attempted the northern line this morning rather than leaving my bike at work overnight.
Big mistake. Havoc on the northern line due to "customer incident" at Clapham South.
Cramped southern rail train instead, 45 minutes late.
0/10 Should've cycled.

Poor lady dragged under a train.
-
• #5498
Blimey, that's a "customer incident"? What a euphemism :/
-
• #5499
Yeah, shouldn't complain really. My day is going better than the poor soul involved. RIP, whoever you are.

RIP to that poor lady.
I take a bit of pride in cycling in all weathers, and not being fazed by rain or cold, but fuck me - cycling in the spring sunshine is 100 times nicer.
