New BB for Omniums

Any know if I can use Shimano GXP BB cups with an omnium crankset?

I've had a bad time with the SRAM one and don't want to spend £100+ on CK.

The bottom bracket doesn't spin smooth. Theres a bit of vibration as if the bearings are grinding. I love the cranks tho!

Hope do a BB along with their own GXP adapter.

You can get a 3rd party GXP adapter to use with a shimano bb, but who would you blame if it went wrong and some kittens got squashed?

The shimano bb spindle is 24mm in diameter throughout whilst SRAM tapers from 24mm drive side to 22mm non drive side. Whilst in theory you could try and shim the non drive side, I'd recomend getting a third party bb from someone like Hope or Chris King and avoid Potential damage to your omniums.

I ruined a standard GXP bb in about 2 months and have been running a Hope with GXP shims for the past year, would recommend - well worth paying the extra. The Hope bb is Shimano type (24mm axle) that needs shims on the non drive side to run with GXP cranks, so I can't see why you couldn't use a Shimano BB with the Hope shims as a cheaper alternative
