  • Was that before the V2s were released? Because it doesn't seem the case now.

  • RE: The Pave Speed plays - The cleat looks the same

Wiggle have them in stock atm - £250 for stainless

  • £250 >>>

  • 250?!

  • Less is more it seems.

  • Thought might be of interest to some?

Speedplay sale on at Sigma. Stainless steel Zeros for a ton (though suspect these aren't V2 cleats and they are clearing stock). Good prices, nonetheless.

  • Ti axle swap is dead easy and you don't need to mess about with blowtorches.

  • Killjoy.

  • When you do the axle swap... be sure that you put the right hand axle with the right hand pedal body yeah? Might be worth checking these things before you put the new axles in... at least it's a quick switch.

  • Pave cleat looks a little different- if I were a betting man, I would say that they use nylon for the regular one (V 2 included) and glass filled nylon for the Pave. It would be nice to know for sure.

  • Where you get the ti axles, they look trick!

  • Lol, i was so close to doing this and was wondering when I did it if anyone actually had, and didn't realize till installing

  • Just to say to anyone thinking of getting them in the Sigma sale, the stainless pedals do come with V.2 cleats.

  • Is it only the axle material that varies?

Basically. What is the best model to start With for a bang-for-buck home customised pair?

  • Yeah, pretty much them, I got mine for £75 then put in ti-spindles titanium spindles for £50, you can get cheaper j&l ones for £30ish like upsidedown did though

  • Have you come over to the speedplay way?

  • Yes. I'm fitting them tonight.

  • I use the std Cro-mo ones, on all my bikes.

  • All the cool kids do.

  • Are the V2 cleats important?

Thinking about getting the cro-mo from Sigma.

If they do come with V1 cleats, I could just get V2 next time?

  • No, not really. They look fairly similar you just need to not mix them up - they use different bolts. Shouldn't reuse bolts anyway. Also, you need longer bolts or something if you're using the adapter plate.

  • Thanks.

Is that the 3-bolt to Speedplay adaptor (which I would need to use)?

Are those bolts included and if not are they just regular ones, or something proprietary?

I remember reading that the adapter enables a more mid-foot position, which I fancy giving a whirl...
