Rode 2.5km, 10m of climbing.
Planned to ride With the kids to the petrol station for reward icecreams. Waited for the epic storm to die Down. Headed out. Only for it to blow up again. Gale force hale is not Nice. My 5 year old couldnt physically ride into the Wind, so we turned around.
My 5 year olds fun gland, far far out Powers his sense of self preservation gland. I swear its a Medical condition. Skiing With him, ages me at a rate of 1 year per 5 minutes. Cycling is much the same.
He instantly discovered the storm would allow him to hit speeds he had never before achieved. Then discovered the paths were full of massive puddles...
....One of which had a dip in the middle, deeper than his Wheel. Que flight over the bars into a foot of freezing Cold water. Having warned him 3 times I should had been angry. Being his dad I should have been sympathetic.......But it was just fecking hilarious.
He thought so too. Once the dry towels and hot chocolate defrosted him.
