Why you say that?

Single pivot.

Ok, so?
I know dual pivot brakes have more stopping power, but single pivot ones, unless very cheap, brake just fine.I only got single pivot brakes on my bikes and they are just fine.
If you need to restore a bike with period or correct brakes, probably you'll have only one choice.I thought he was telling me that the Gipiemme Sprint was an awful one for some other reason.

It's not even that they are single pivot, because a nice single pivot is lovely. They're just poor quality, along with awful action and feedback. I got given some, and got rid of them as soon as I saw them.
If you don't need more than 49mm drop then go for some Suntour Superbe Pros which are as good as the Campy Record but at a reasonable price. If you need more than a 49mm drop then I sympathise with you because there are not a lot of nice brakes out there with that much drop (as far as i have seen).

I've been using this on my Moser and they're stopping it just fine.
I've already got a pair on it and won't change. I was getting a new pair to move the current ones on another Moser in Italy and get NOS ones on this.
But I'll stick with the ones I've got on mine and the Universal on that one.Anyway the guy will take it back and refund me, so I'll close this ones.
I never tried the Suntour Superbe Pros and yes I've read their stopping power is quite good. Will keep an eye on them if I'll need a new pair.
And no, this is a 700c frame with 700c wheelset, so 49mm is fine. Thanks!

Item is on its way back to seller. Closing thread.
Hi,
I've got this brake from an german eBay seller:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151519155743
I think it's a front one, haven't checked yet. It comes with modolo pads.
Turns out my german is crap and it is only one brake. I thought it was a set.
I can return it, but wondering if anyone here might be interested in it?
Your for what I paid, £35.
